NOTE: Our sponsor, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, will no longer be funding our program effective April 1, 2015. As our program will be winding down we are no longer accepting applications, effective August 2014.

Bridge Program Learners are scholarship-winning students who participate in the Bridge courses but are not Bridge Fellows. Learners do not receive Bridge funding.

Graduate students interested in becoming Learners should send a letter to the Bridge Program Manager by the application deadline indicating their interest in taking the courses and providing evidence that they fulfill the following criteria:

  • They are enrolled in a graduate program in one of the 8 participating academic units.
  • They have won a graduate scholarship and have a minimum A- GPA.
  • They have met with the BRDG 501/601 course instructor to discuss the rationale for taking the courses and the workload involved.

Note that the maximum BRDG class size is 15 students, with no more than 1 Learner per research development team.
